Temperature Sensor
232,00 €
This sensor is optimised for boats’ engine rooms and the equipment inside. It continuously monitors and detects the smallest changes in temperature with two independent temperature probes on 3m cables. Connect it to your battery charger, solar power controler, boat’s batteries or any other piece of equipment to monitor it’s temperature.
Every temperature change is sent and processed in the Sense4Boat control center where it is compared to the user-defined thresholds for specific alerting conditions (low/high/severe temperature, rapid temperature rise).
If those threshold are exceeded, an alert is generated as a possible indication of fire or high risk of fire.

Temperature Sensor at a glance
TWO TEMPERATURE PROBES
With two temperature probes on 3m long cables this sensor can measure the temperature of the boat’s batteries, battery charger, solar panel controler, or any other component that is exposed to risk of overheating.
SUDDEN TEMPERATURE CHANGE ALARM
The device detects even the slightest changes in temperature, and transmits the data to our control center which automatically notifies you and your marina of the potential danger.
LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION
Having its own replaceable batteries, this device does not use the boat’s power. Low energy consumption means you will need to replace the battery only every several years.
INTERNAL DATA BUFFER
When sailing far away from shore, out of reach of the NBIoT Network, the sensor will store all measured data, until connectivity is restored, at which time it will send all the stored data to the Sense4Boat control center, ensuring all measuremements and alerts are saved.
Detect a potential fire on time
Prevention of fire on a boat stored/docked in the marina is a very demanding challenge. The fire is usually spotted at a very late stage, at which it already had developed high temperatures and even spread to the adjacent boats. Motor boats are at particularly high risks, having different kinds of of fire-risky equipment (engines, chargers, batteries, fuel, pumps) concentrated in a very small area of the engine room.
The temperature in the engine room can under normal engine operation rise up to 70°C. Smoke detectors work at temperatures of up to 55°C and cannot be designed with IP65 protection required for the engine room which makes them useless for this purpose.
Prevent freezing
Very often the boats are exposed to extreme cold as well, which might lead to freezing of the fluids and possible damage of the pipes, valves or tanks. The outside temperature often does not correlate with the inside temperature, so one must measure the temperature inside the engine room to estimate the possible risk of freezing.
This sensor warns you when the temperature in your engine room drops below a predefined threshold, enabling you or your marina to take appropriate protective measures.
Specially designed for boats
This sensor continuously monitors the temperature (every 30 sec) and detects the smallest change in the temperature. With every temperature difference of 2°C is gathered data is sent immedately and processed in the Sense4Boat online control center.
Whenever the temperature exceeds a specified threshold or rises faster than normal, an alert is generated as a possible indication of fire. The alert is forwarded to you (and optionally your home marina/port).
IMPORTANT NOTICE
While extremely useful at detecting temperature changes, this sensor is not a life-saving device nor certified as a fire alarm system by fire regulations and authorities.
The measurements from the sensors should be used for information purposes only.
Monitor the engine room temperature and electrical components with the Sense4Boat app
Set emergency contacts which will be automatically contacted in case of potential danger.
Define alarm parameters to suit your specific needs, which can be different based on the boat’s type, geographical location of the marina and actual placement of the sensor
